By now, I was planning to reveal a new design inspired by and created for the competition on February 28th at the beach bandshell in Carlsbad,NM. Due to unexpected production issues with a third party, it won’t be ready in time for the event. The design will still be released at a later date so keep your eyes peeled for that!👀

In the screengrab from the Unfettered online store, you can see an alternate version of the original logo developed for this drop. It features chains constructed from bones to match the prehistoric theme.🦣

Unfettered will still have a booth at the event with current merchandise available. The competitor lineup is full, so come out and watch some serious athletes handle impressive weight. 💪🏼⛓️‍💥

Woke up and decided I wanted to get in on one of my favorite V-Day traditions and make some Punny Gym/UNF themed cards. Bit late but I decided to play around on procreate and ended up doing something more complicated than I intended at first and I’m still learning how to use the interface. Don’t sleep on the colorblast variant cause you might miss out.

What is in hand is all that is going to be made for the foreseeable future, there will be no reprints of this design in the next year or probably even the next, just fresh new drops!
IF anything gets reprinted it will be the heavy hearts design but in new colors.

I’m beyond thankful that I’ve been able to continue to make shirts that I love while being a one man show with the exception of my wonderful graphic designer, and screenprinters.

The hurdles and figuring everything out has not been easy, I might get discouraged from time to time, and not be as active with the brand, but I’ve never once felt like I no longer want to do this.

It is not lost on me how dope it is that I have been able to sell enough to keep it going this long, Unfettered 2022-beyond!

D.4 “Winslow” is now live in the web store!⛓️‍💥🐘💨

Unfettered’s very own mascot.
Why an elephant?
Elephants have the largest heart of any land mammal and are often seen in captivity which tie into Unfettered’s reoccuring imagery of heavy hearts and chains.
Elephants are beautiful and peaceful yet powerful and fierce creatures that even the king of the jungle would be wise to avoid conflict with.

Winslow’s name is a play on the name of a relative that has passed and it quite serendipitously works really well as it can be split into the words Win and Slow.
Those words combined can be interpreted as longevity, trusting the process, and taking no short cuts as a substitute for hard work. Values synonymous with what Unfettered sets out to achieve.

D.4 is here, It’s been a long time coming but Unfettered is proud to officially introduce its very own mascot Winslow!

I am happy to finally reveal the whole design and color variants. Shirts will be posted on the webstore sometime this week. The colorblast variant looks absolutely insane in person and pictures do them no justice.

Why an elephant?
Because lions, tigers and bears are overused.
Elephants have the largest heart of any land mammal and are often seen in captivity which ties into Unfettered’s reoccuring imagery of heavy hearts and chains.
Elephants are beautiful and peaceful yet powerful and fierce creatures that even the king of the jungle would be wise to avoid conflict with.

Winslow’s name is a play on a much more complicated and less catchy name of a dear relative that has passed and it quite serendipitously works really well as it can be split into the words Win and Slow.
To me those 2 words combined mean longevity, trusting the process, and taking no short cuts as a substitute for hard work. Values I find synonymous with the Unfettered brand.

Lastly, the design was inspired by sports team logos this time around. The idea is to have Winslow return in various different artstyles, some serious, maybe something toonier like rubberhose the possibilities are endless. A lot of thought was put into his design and I hope you love him as much as I do.

Once again thanks to the wonderful and talented Kai for bringing my vision to life even better than I had envisioned.
