ANEA HILL | LVMH Certificate Series | Lesson #3

One thing I’ve noticed while working through the LVMH Certificate Program is that the strongest luxury brands don’t choose between heritage and innovation.

They do both.

I often times would consider those as opposite ideas. Heritage feels rooted in tradition. Innovation feels focused on the future.

But the more I study luxury houses, the more I realize that the brands that stand the test of time are able to preserve what makes them special while continuing to evolve.

They don’t abandon their identity.

They build on it.

As a founder, that really resonated with me.

When I think about ANEA HILL, there are things that should never change. Our commitment to comfort. Our craftsmanship. Our timeless designs. The fact that every frame is handcrafted in Japan.

At the same time, I never want to stop improving:

*Better products.
*Better experiences.
*Better service.
*Better storytelling.

The goal isn’t to reinvent who we are.

The goal is to become a better version of who we already are.

That’s a lesson I’ll be carrying with me as I continue building ANEA HILL.

ANEA HILL | LVMH Certification Series | Lesson #2

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned so far is that luxury brands are not built by imitation. They’re built through individual identity.

As I continue through the LVMH certification program, I’m paying close attention to the principles that create enduring luxury houses. One concept stood out immediately: every Maison within LVMH maintains its own distinct vision, heritage, customer, and story.

I.e., Louis Vuitton isn’t trying to become Dior.
Each brand protects what makes it unique.

That lesson applies directly to ANEA HILL.

In today’s market, it’s easy to chase trends, copy competitors, or shift direction based on what appears successful in the moment. True luxury brands take a different approach. They establish a clear point of view and strengthen it over time.

Since launching ANEA HILL, my focus has never been on creating sunglasses that only look beautiful with fast fashion. The goal has always been to create luxury eyewear that feels exceptional to wear. Timeless design. Handcrafted quality. Premium materials. Lightweight comfort. Thoughtful details. A product designed to be worn, not only admired.

Brand identity.

As I work through the INSIDE LVMH Certificate Program, one lesson continues to stand out: the world’s most successful luxury brands are not built by chasing trends. They are built through long term vision, craftsmanship, brand identity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Luxury is not about producing more.

Luxury is about creating something worth keeping.

LVMH’s business model is centered around protecting what makes each Maison unique while continuously improving the customer experience. Every decision is made with the future of the brand in mind.

As the founder of ANEA HILL, these lessons reinforce what has always mattered most to me: designing luxury sunglasses that are timeless, comfortable, beautifully crafted, and made to be worn for years to come.

Building a luxury brand requires patience. It requires discipline. Most importantly, it requires staying true to your vision while continuing to raise the standard.
