It’s been an honor to serve this community and be part of your lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! 💙 – The Squire Shop Carrollton, Georgia is a town rooted in pride and tradition. A statement that shines through in the town’s football teams, University of West Georgia pride, downtown shopping and Southern comfort. Established in 1963, The Squire Shop took after their beloved hometown

and founded a men's clothing store where pride and tradition always matters. With this has the foundation of both Carrollton and The Squire Shop, the store has become a place for the community to feel at home while they shop. In 2005, a recent University of West Georgia graduate and former Squire Shop employee, April Harris, bought the store vowing to give it ‘new life’ in a ‘new day.’ April began to cater towards gentlemen and women of all ages by carrying fresh new brands that keep the customers coming back for more! The Squire Shop has always been known for distinctive men’s clothing, and now the store is full of even more products for every customer that walks through our doors. Here at The Squire Shop, we always strive to live up to our founding 'Squire Shop fathers' by carrying on the classic tradition of a well-dressed man. We are able to accomplish this goal as we are one of the most prominent tuxedo retailers in the Southeast! With trained tuxedo professionals at hand that have an eye for style, The Squire Shop has been able to receive the honor of a Platinum Elite tuxedo retailer through Jim's Formal Wear several years in a row. An achievement that is proven in our customers that return for Formal Events year after year. So, with that being said…

After many meaningful years in business, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close The Squire Shop.

This beloved store first opened its doors in 1963, and I was honored to purchase it in 2005 at just 24 years old. For the past 20 years, I’ve done my best to carry on its legacy, serving our community with pride, care, and a deep appreciation for what The Squire Shop has meant to so many.

Like many small businesses, we’ve faced ongoing challenges in a changing retail and economic landscape, and after a great deal of reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this chapter.

We’ve been honored to serve so many of you over the years, whether for tuxedo rentals for your weddings and proms, or outfitting you for other special occasions. I’m especially proud to share that we held the title for Jim’s Formalwear as their largest dealer nationwide for prom tuxedo rentals and the third largest overall dealer in the Southeast. These milestones are a testament to the trust you’ve placed in us.

To all of you who have supported us—thank you. You helped make The Squire Shop more than just a store. You made it a part of the community’s story.

We’ll be closing our doors on June 30, 2025, and I hope you’ll come by before then so we can say goodbye in person and celebrate what this place has meant to all of us. If you have any Gift Cards or Loyalty Points, please make sure to use them by June 30th.
