I had the pleasure of working on this beautiful prom gown! 😍

Pictured below is the outer layer hem of the dress. Some of you may not know, but this is called “horsehair braid” which is a stiff braiding of nylon and polyester. It’s used to add structure to the hem and volume to the skirt, typically in formal gowns. When it comes to hemming, it’s a longer process than your usual hem. This includes removal of the braid, cutting of the tulle, then sewing it back on not once, but twice! It takes some time but turns out beautiful and is made to comfortably fit your height! Almost anything is possibly with alterations!

Handmade throw pillows and faux fur scarf! Perfect for the wintery season and as Christmas gifts!

This set of “cabin fever” throw pillows are just the perfect size for your sitting area. On one side is a soft woodsy/cabin print and the other side is a thick white faux fur fabric making it extra soft! They sit at 20”x21” with a nice firmness for display and great squish for snuggling!
