Yes, someone left sticky notes on the shop door. I support Governor Cooper.
I just discovered two sticky notes on the shop door. They attempted to blame our Governor for our closure. I need to respond to this.
Back in February when I heard our President say we had 15 cases but would soon be at zero,I got uncomfortable. Then as cases grew, he suggested rising temperatures would eliminate the virus and it would miraculously disappear. I made a decision to close the shop based on science and my fear that this government was not handling this crisis at all like the previous administration had responded to Ebola. Then I was watching when our leader suggested people inject bleach into their bodies 🙈. I still cannot understand how anyone thinks this is effective leadership, regardless of party affiliation.
When I made the decision to go out of business in mid-March (one hour appointments/ one at a time) a few customers suggested I was overreacting and this would “blow over in a couple of weeks”. One even said I was making a huge mistake and business would be “booming in no time”. But most of you supported my decision and gave me the emotional support that I needed ( as well as flowers, crossstitch, chocolate and wine 🤗). I am hopeful that all you strong women that lifted me up during this difficult time were and are paying attention to who really is responsible for this unbelievable failure in leadership. Early voting starts October 15, we can start requesting absentee ballots now. Please vote and encourage others to vote like our lives depend on it, because this election they really do.
