The story of dune•wild comes from a want and a NEED for not only stylish kids clothing and accessories but also there seems to be a lack in todays kids clothing market. You’re either left waffling between character clothes, or crop tops and mini shorts for your children. There really isn’t an in between. For the parents who aren’t interested in filling their child’s entire closet with paw patrol and monster trucks, for the parents who won’t be buying crop tops for their four year old. But like how is it Friday already? Wasn’t Monday just yesterday? Has anyone else noticed that as you get older, the days just seem to fly by? Time no longer stands still. I swear it feels like yesterday that I was welcoming my first born into the world (17 years ago) or wasn’t it just the other day that I was graduating high school ✨ hey class of 2005 ✨ Time really is a thief.

canvas shoes for little feet. We have been looking all over for shoes we can offer in our shop, that aren’t only comfortable and lightweight but also fit with our brands aesthetic. I am crushing hard over these canvas high tops. They are unisex and have a soft flexible sole as well as a side zipper for easy on and off. We haven’t quite decided if these will strictly be in our store front or online as well BUT we cannot wait to offer them. Toddler sizes available.

Ok real post. When I left the small shop community two years, I was done! I sold all of my fabric, I packed up my sewing machines and I pretty much left all of the small shop online groups. I was touched out. I was burnt out and honestly I was no longer having fun. I switched back to mama mode and even went back to working full time. I truly did not think I’d be back. When Harlow turned one, and the craziness of having a new baby wore off, I started to miss my “old” life. I missed creating, I missed the community, I missed watching my customers, who has turned into more than that, littles grow up. I received an email a few months ago asking if I was ever coming back to the small shop world, last year it would have been a NO, but at that moment, I couldn’t whole heartedly say I was not returning. I started joining back into small shop groups, looking at fabric again, and that spark, that creative spark came back. After speaking with my husband about my potential plans to open up a new shop, I was met with support and positivity. Dune • Wild was born while sitting on our living room couch. It’s been a few weeks since I decided to put myself out there again, and I could not be more pleased at the response from everyone. It can be scary to put yourself out there and be vulnerable, but I know coming back was 100% the right decision and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for Dune • Wild.

Who said baby accessories can’t be stylish? We are crushing hard over our pacifier clips. Made with 100% genuine leather. When working with leather, I am very particular about the thickness, the color and the all around feel of it. I think we went through a few different hides and brands before we found, what we consider, the “perfect” leather. If I have to say, I think our leather accessories collection is my current fav. What do we look for when hand picking items to carry in our store? Most importantly does there companies message match ours? Do they have a ride variety of items we can choose from, and also does their brand mix in effortlessly with our pieces.
