Unfortunately, BC’s backcountry dispersed camping ban meant campgrounds for us this trip — but Kimberley turned out to be a pretty awesome place. 🇨🇦🏔️

Downtown Kimberley transformed into the “Bavaria of the Canadian Rockies” back in 1972, and it still has that German alpine village feel — right down to the Platzl. 🇩🇪🍻

Of course, we had to sample the local beer at Over Time Beer Works and Grist and Mash Brewery. 🍺

The riding was rocky, rooty, and a ton of fun — definitely kept me on my toes! 🚵‍♂️🤘 Finished it off the right way with post-ride beers and dinner back at the campsite tonight.

A great couple of days exploring Fernie and Kimberley and some seriously cool towns here in BC.

We’ll be back! 🇨🇦🍻🚵‍♂️

Fernie delivered! 🚵‍♂️🇨🇦

A little rain made for hero dirt and some absolutely amazing riding. Climbed up to the Montane Hut and spent the last two days exploring Fernie’s trail network — fast, flowy singletrack with plenty of bridges, roots, and obstacles to keep you focused. 🤘

Finished up the ride with a stop The Fernie Taphouse for a cold beer and some post-ride chill time. 🍺

Great dirt. Great trails. Great town. Fernie definitely lives up to the hype. Thanks to Fernie Trails Alliance for all the hard work!

Next up ➡️ heading to Kimberley to explore some more BC trails! 🚐🚵‍♂️🇨🇦

Back on the road for a long weekend adventure to our neighbors up North! 🇨🇦

We worked our way through Glacier National Park, crossed into Alberta, and made our way over to British Columbia. Along the way, we checked out one of the MASSIVE mining trucks in Sparwood — pictures definitely don’t do that thing justice. 🤯

Now we’re settled into Fernie for the next few days — mountain bikes are ready, trails are calling, and of course… we already found Fernie Brewing Co. for a few🍻🚵‍♂️🏔️

Bozeman’s mountain bike community is something special. 🤘

From last weekend’s Hoot Race at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center, to the incredible work happening on new trails with Bozeman Mountain Biking Association, Trail Dogs Big Sky, and Southwest MT MTB Association, the momentum just keeps building.

This weekend, Eagle Mount Bozeman hosted an adaptive event Bridger Bowl Ski Area on the Crosscut trails—a reminder that the best trails are the ones that bring everyone together.

Grateful to be part of a community that builds, rides, volunteers, and makes mountain biking more accessible for all. Here’s to many more miles together. 🚵‍♀️

After 2,134 miles we are back in BZN- our 10th trip across the country. This time we went off the beaten path to visit towns we haven’t been to before. Some great beers in North Platte, NE Palsbrew and then to Ogallala, NE to visit Second Chapter Brewing. Our last stop was in Buffalo, WY where we did trivia and some drinks Bond’s Brewing Company - Laramie. Of course I had to hit Crosscut Mountain Sports Center to get my trail fix in when we got back into town.

Still following the horizon west.
Still following the horizon west.

After leaving Nashville, we pointed the van toward Kansas City with one stop we couldn’t pass up: J. Rieger Distillery. Great whiskey, rich history, and absolutely worth the detour.

We spent the night camping in Bonner Springs, then checked out Range 23 Brewing and Outfield Beer Company—both perfect spots to unwind after a day on the road.

And, of course, Piper and Hazel decided they deserved a little camera time too. 🐾

One day closer to Montana. One more set of memories made.

“Mt. Nest” is back on the road. 🚐🏔️

We’re officially heading west again, making the trek from North Carolina back to Montana.

Piper and Hazel are more than ready to trade the summer heat for cooler mountain air. 🐾❄️

First stop: Mill Creek Brewing Co. outside Nashville for some great beer, good food, and a chance to stretch our legs before putting more miles behind us.

Here’s to open roads, new adventures, and getting back to Big Sky Country.
