Welcome back wedding season. Here is my advice for grooms to feel most confident on their wedding day. Are you adding anything to the list?

1. Always have a second white shirt on hand. Thank me later.

2. The Bow Tie must be hand-tied. The slight imperfection is what makes it beautiful.

3. Break in the wedding shoes. Wear your new leather soles at home for a week. Don’t let your first walk be down the aisle.

4. Your phone is forbidden! Give your phone to your brother. Not only does a phone in the pocket ruin a $2,000 commission... AND also, you are not checking emails today.

5. Your jacket sleeves are not meant to reach your knuckles. Ensure exactly one-half inch of shirt cuff is visible. It’s a small but classy detail.

6. Hydrate often: With dancing, stress, and excitement, you will wilt. Drink water.

7. Welcome to the club! If she says the tie is straight, the tie is straight. Even if it’s off by a millimeter. Peace is more attractive than precision.

8. Don’t worry about trends. In twenty years, your photos shouldn’t look like costumes. Choose a timeless lapel. Leave radical accents to amateurs.

9. Stand like a leader. Shoulders back. Chest open. The suit is designed to support your posture, but you must provide the frame.

10. Be the calm. If the photographer arrives late or the waiter breaks a plate, look at your bride and smile. If you are unbothered, she will follow your lead.

Here’s a request that is NOT unreasonable:

A suit that travels 14 hours and across three time zones, yet still looks as crisp as new.

These days, not unreasonable at all.

We recently completed several commissions in Dormeuil Travel Resistant, a high-twist cloth engineered for demanding schedules that keeps you sharp.

I can give you the perfect silhouette, a flawless drape, and surgeon’s cuffs.
But the real investment is in fabric that keeps you looking composed, no matter how unpredictable your schedule.

Don’t pay for a luxury fabric that demands you baby it.
Commission a garment that makes you look like you haven’t been fighting gravity or airport security.

He doesn’t do “quiet,” and he certainly doesn’t do “department store.”

Here’s my fundamental rule: Never force something you’re not.

Style should feel natural and authentic to who you are. And if a bold, playful style is genuinely you? Lean in!

We recently wrapped up a winter commission for a client who likes to have fun with his wardrobe.

Two Shepherd’s check jackets. Two completely different moods.

Jacket A: The Safari. We used a 3-roll-2 lapel with a functional tab, then leaned into the eccentricity—burnt orange buttonhole, chest zipper pocket, and a back belt. Because, as they say in bespoke, “why not?”

Jacket B: The Contrarian. For his second piece, we dialed back the volume but kept the soul. Reddish-brown buttons activate the brown in the check, plus a welted ticket pocket for subtle character.

Similar patterns. Two completely different vibes.
But that’s the beauty of bespoke!

Share one piece of advice you would give to a groom on their wedding day.

Mine is this:

Confidence is the ultimate accessory.

I have spent a decade dressing men for their most significant moments.

We can provide the hand-rolled canvas, the perfect drape, and a shoulder expression that commands respect.

But I cannot sew “presence” into your lining.

The best piece of advice I give every groom? Become the emotional anchor of the day. A wedding is a logistical storm.

Things will go sideways.

The car will be late; the weather will be unforgiving. In those moments, your guests (and more importantly, your bride!) will look at you.

If you are frantic, the suit is just a costume.
If you are still, the suit becomes armor.

Stand straight. Breathe.
This day is a transition, not a performance.

Want to see a suit makes a statement without ever raising its voice?

Check out this beauty.

Why is this suit turning heads?

Made from the iconic Loro Piana Winter Tasmanian, it’s engineered for durability yet offers warmth, breathability, and a softness that belies its weight.

The pinstripes, lapel, stitch details, and slight curve in the chest pocket all work together to make this garment a sartorial bedrock for any formal occasion in the colder months.
