Welcome Brent Whitson to Bobcat Nation!

Celina ISD is proud to announce Brent Whitson as our new Athletic Director.

With decades of leadership experience across Texas and Oklahoma — including serving as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Denison High School — Coach Whitson will be formally presented at the February 23 Board Meeting and officially begins March 23.

“Celina Athletics has built, for generations, a championship tradition that deserves to be honored,” said Superintendent Tom Maglisceau. “Brent has demonstrated his ability to support and inspire the strengths of his coaches and his programs, and he will work tirelessly with our athletes, coaches, parents and teachers to lead Celina Athletics to continued success through the next chapter of our great story.”

Congratulations to the Celina High School Cheerleading Team on an incredible achievement - three consecutive state championships! The Bobcats have once again claimed the crown as the 4A-D1 UIL State Spirit Champions, marking their fourth overall state title.

To celebrate this outstanding victory, the historic water tower will be lit orange this evening in honor of our state champions. 🧡

Congratulations Bobcat Cheerleaders!!! Absolutely an amazing accomplishment!!

Celina High School Cheer has done it again by claiming their third consecutive State Championship! This incredible achievement also marks four State Championships in the last five years for our cheer program and the 36th State Championship across all competitions in Celina High School history.

The power, precision, and undeniable energy of this performance were nothing short of extraordinary. Every stunt, motion, and cheer reflected the unwavering commitment, trust, and work ethic of this remarkable team. Their success is a true testament to the culture of excellence driven by talent, unity, and relentless effort.

Congratulations to Coach Hall, Coach Hogan, and our phenomenal Cheerleaders on this historic accomplishment. Bobcat Nation is proud beyond words!
