One of the things I love most about owning a boutique is helping women find pieces that make them feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful.
Over the years, I've learned that not every piece is for every person, and that's perfectly okay.
A top that looks amazing on one woman may not be the right fit for another. A style that someone else loves may not feel like "you" at all. It doesn't mean the clothing is wrong or the person is wrong. It simply means it wasn't the right fit.
Life works much the same way.
We live in a world of comparison. We compare our homes, careers, relationships, finances, appearance, and even our happiness to what we see in others. We watch someone else's life and think, "I wish I had that."
But what if that path wasn't designed for you?
Just like clothing, life isn't one-size-fits-all. The things that make someone else successful may not be what fulfills you. The dreams meant for someone else may not be the dreams meant for your journey.
I've watched women come out of the fitting room discouraged because the first thing they tried on wasn't right. Then they find another piece, (sometimes one they never would have chosen) and, suddenly their face lights up.
The right fit changes everything.
Often we spend so much time trying to fit into someone else's plan that we miss the beautiful life God has designed specifically for us.
Your story doesn't have to look like anyone else's. Your timeline doesn't have to match theirs. Your blessings may arrive in unexpected ways.
The goal isn't to wear someone else's outfit. The goal is to find what fits you.
Because when you stop trying to live someone else's story, you finally have room to live your own.
Until next time,
Wear what fits, walk your own path, and trust the journey.
