One of the greatest blessings in my life is my mom. Getting to do what I do every single day with her by my side is something I will never take for granted. 🤍
Since starting Southern Pine, I’ve learned so much about who my mom truly is. She is steadfast. Her head stays on a swivel constantly making sure everyone around her feels seen, heard, loved, fed, cared for, and taken care of… even while her own world may feel like it’s spinning. She is the most selfless person I’ve ever met. She thinks of what people need before they even have to ask for it.
I truly hope one day when I become a mother, I carry even a fraction of the qualities she has so naturally.
This year especially, I’ve realized that while my mom was the biggest part of building Southern Pine in the beginning, she also taught me that this dream had to become a passion of my own too. She has challenged me every single day to grow, learn, work harder, and believe in myself. Even now, when I come to her with a crazy idea, she never shuts it down. She lets me try. She lets me learn. Whether it’s a success or a lesson, she always reminds me how proud she is of me and how hard I work for Southern Pine.
She is my inspiration, my biggest supporter, and the best mom I could ever ask for. I like to think I got my work ethic from both of my parents, but the strong woman qualities in me that help keep Southern Pine going every day… those came from her and I know she got them from my mamaw Jo before her.
Family means everything to me. And getting to build this dream with my mom every single day is something I will forever be thankful for. It truly is a dream come true. 🤍
