This collection started with old photo albums, but it became so much more than that.

It became a reflection on childhood, motherhood, and the women who shaped so many of my favorite memories.

I designed this collection inspired by my childhood and my grandmas, but honestly, the entire process has become just as meaningful as the collection itself.

Finding the right manufacturer was probably the biggest challenge. I lost track of how many conversations I had, how many samples I reviewed, and how many late nights went into bringing this to life. There was a lot of trial and error, but I’ve learned so much along the way.

Throughout the design process, I felt especially connected to my Nana Jo, who passed away just a few months before I launched Nora Jo Co. I kept going back to the photo album she sent me years ago for inspiration. Looking through those photos brought back all those comfortable childhood memories that so many of us forget about in the busyness of everyday life. It made me slow down, reflect, and really think about what I wanted this collection to feel like.

For a long time, I struggled to define what Nora Jo Co really was.

Everything finally clicked when I sat down and studied an old photo album my grandma sent me. Page after page was filled with the kind of childhood I want my own kids to remember. slow days, hand-me-downs, playing outside until dark, and clothes that were made to be lived in.

That became the inspiration behind this collection.

I designed these pieces from a mom’s perspective: intentionally oversized, comfortable, room to grow, and made to be passed down. Not just basics, but pieces that feel like childhood, like the kind many of us were lucky enough to have.

I hope this collection feels like a warm grandmas hug, I hope you feel the love that has been poured into it and I hope you enjoy these pieces.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my grandmas and the memories that come rushing back when you step into their homes.

The toys always seemed more fun. The snacks tasted better. The conversations lasted longer. There was just a comfort there that is hard to put into words.

As I’ve been working on my private label collection, I’ve found myself coming back to those memories over and over again.

Maybe it’s because I’m a mom, maybe it’s because I’m in my 30s, but I have really been missing the good ol days. I’ve been looking through old photo albums, studying colors and styles and desperately been trying to create the 90s/early 2000s looks.

The pieces from my latest collection The Sandlot Summer Collection, reflects a nostalgic feeling, bold basics, colorful pieces and a fun style. 100% cotton and 100% cute.

I wanted to bring in pieces that our kids could wear on repeat, and remind us of a classic childhood, like the one we lived. Timeless pieces that can be passed down, at a good price point.

Just some pieces of May🌞

A lot happened in May, Nora Jo Co turned TWO. We celebrated with a party and had so much fun! We planted our garden with the girls, my private label collection was shipped, lots of late nights and early mornings and so much love in between.

I love growing this little shop with my family by my side and I’m so thankful to all of YOU who have kept us going! 🫶🏻

Summer is pretty much here and I can’t wait for all that’s to come! A BIG move for is next on the agenda and watching that all come to life has been so cool! So proud of you McKenna!

You’re allowed to change. Your direction, your mind, your style, whatever it is. Change is a good thing.
Passion is going to get your further than anything else under God, and my passion for my products started fading when I was focusing on bringing in pieces that I thought everyone else would like, even though I didn’t feel that passion. I felt stuck for a while, I had this itch to change directions and so I started leaning into it. My kids are growing and changing everyday and so is my business and my style. I want my shop to feel fun and exciting, I want to bring in pieces that kids would love and want to wear. Not just for perfect pictures, but for everyday life.
Comfort and quality are my top priority and that won’t ever change, but the style of NJC is changing and I’m loving it so much.

The Sandlot Summer collection is a meant to be fun, colorful and feel like a classic childhood.
