i have been wondering how voting this year is going to look. I found this info on Chadrad Communications, Inc. Swap Shop page:
Description
The County Clerk’s office has had several people question what will be acceptable for Voter ID.
When ballots are mailed out on April 24, 2024, you will notice the envelope size has changed. The outside envelope is white in color and the return envelope (used to mail back ballot) is brown. The brown envelope has a flap and under that flap is a box labeled VOTER’S IDENTIFICATION.
If you have a Nebraska Driver’s License all you need to do to meet the Voter ID requirements is to simply write in your Nebraska Driver’s License #, sign where indicated, provide a phone number and return the ballot. Additionally, if your Nebraska Drivers License has expired, it’s still an acceptable document for Voter ID. Just record the expired license # in the VOTER’S IDENTIFICATION box.
If you don’t have a Nebraska Driver’s License then you can provide a photo copy of a passport, student ID, Tribal ID, Assisted Living ID, etc. Basically, any photo ID with your name on it will work. We want this process to be as simple as possible for all our Voter’s. Please reach out to us with any questions. Cheryl Feist, Dawes County Clerk
