Getting some of my Fall decorations out!

Well, since this problem in my studio I’ve made three quilt tops. Can’t wait to get started quilting them. Wonder when my long arm is coming home. I miss my baby! This is ridiculous!!!

Getting very impatient!

Also had to turn down several jobs!

I am getting boxes unpacked, fabric put away, and even working on a quilt! Hopefully, when my long arm comes back, it will be ready to be loaded on the frame!

Well, it never rains but it pours. I discovered the leak in my sewing studio on June 5th, 12 weeks ago. Yesterday, August 28th, the last piece of baseboard trim was put in and we can now put this fiasco behind us! 😍🤩

About the same time as the leak happened, my long arm quilting machine light blew out. It had to be sent back to the factory. The robot tablet also quit working properly.

Well, the tablet is back now but the long arm isn’t. Hence, the empty frame.

But I can now unpack the boxes I so hurriedly packed 12weeks ago.

One step at a time! Things are progressing!

Well, it’s been a long summer here. On June 5th I noticed a leak near the sink in my sewing studio. The water had leaked under the insulated floor which subsequently had to be torn up as there was much black mold present.

We were left with 2 by 4’s sticking out from u dear the floor that wasn’t destroyed, and everything in dissarray. I had to move my long arm with it’s 12’ frame into another room. It’s staying there! Not moving it back!

Then, in mid July a carpenter came and rebuilt the floor and replaced the dry wall that had to be removed. Another period of waiting.

Today, August 13th, the flooring company came and retired the floor that had to be demolished.

We are slowly getting there.

Perhaps tomorrow we can put the sink and cabinet back and wax the new floor!

Maybe by the end of the week, I can be moved back in!

In the middle of all this, my long arm has been sent in for repairs, my robot had to be sent back for repairs, then a fire in my kitchen oven. The firemen removed the stove so I had to get a new one which won’t be delivered until Friday. So we have no kitchen stove this week!

It’s been a very eventful summer to say the least!

With God’s help, we will get through this!

Not sure when Debbie’s Quilting will be up and running again but I’ve been watching lots of You Tube videos and can’t wait to try these new techniques out!

I finished my “Anita Good Design” embroidered tote bag today. I used bamboo handles instead of the fabric ones. It has a bright yellow lining! I think I’ll love using this tote!

Well, I’ve not posted anything here lately because on June 5th, I discovered a leak in the sink pipes in my sewing studio. This resulted in my studio floor being torn up. Now I ‘m waiting for a contractor to come and rebuild it. Then we have to have the tile replaced! This has been very frustrating, to say the least!

On this cold and rainy April day, I’m using the indoor time to quilt a quilt for a client. She made it from her husband’s old blue jeans. Yes, it’s made completely of denim!! The quilting is going well!
