Friday Fail! 😂👖

Decided to give an old pair of jeans a little makeover with some iron-on patches. Cute, right? 🌸

And see that parchment paper on my ironing board? That would be me learning my lesson AFTER getting adhesive all over it. 🤦‍♀️

The jeans got a glow-up. The ironing board got replaced. 😂

Tell me I’m not the only one who learns DIY lessons the hard way!

When did we stop having playdates?

Somewhere between careers, families, responsibilities, and everything else life throws at us, getting together with friends became something we have to schedule weeks in advance.

Yesterday was a reminder that it doesn’t have to be complicated.

A few friends.

And time to just hang out.

I asked ChatGPT to decorate an empty bookshelf based on everything it knows about me… and apparently, it knows me pretty well! 😂💕

The travel books, my love of decorating and thrifting, Pink Poppy, my bunnies, and even pictures of Bill and Leah! 🥹

I think my favorite part is that it somehow captured my personality AND my decorating style. 🌸

Well… apparently making jewelry wasn’t enough to keep Shawn and me busy! 😂🕯️

We decided to try our hand at making scented candles FROM SCRATCH! Choosing our own fragrances, mixing, pouring, and creating something that’s completely our own.

And of course, I couldn’t leave mine alone! 😂

Since I live in a community setting, I use a candle-warming lamp instead of lighting the wick. So naturally, I found a pretty glass holder, added a few charms, and gave it a little extra Pink Poppy personality! 🌸

But here’s where it gets fun…

We’ve been dreaming up more creative workshop ideas for Pink Poppy Trading Post. Because after all, we’re a Trading Post… why stop at jewelry?

We already offer creative workshops and private parties at homes, coffee shops, and other venues, and we’d love to add even more experiences to choose from!

Imagine getting together with friends, creating your very own custom-scented candle, and adding some personal touches to make it yours.

Sounds like a pretty fun afternoon to us!

Wind, rain, live music, and a whole lot of fun! 🌧️🎶💕

What a weekend for Pink Poppy Trading Post!

Friday night brought some wild weather to Oak Street Bottle Shop, but we didn’t let that stop the fun! Great music, wonderful people, and even a little family support from my mom and aunt! ❤️

Saturday, we headed to Deep Roots W**e Bar & Tasting Room, where we were VERY thankful to be indoors! 😂 We brought out the full charm bar and enjoyed another afternoon of shopping, creativity, and connecting with the Roswell community.

A HUGE thank you to both venues for welcoming us and to everyone who stopped by to shop, chat, or just say hello! 💗

We love what we do, and weekends like this make it even more fun!

Renovation reality check! 😂

The new refrigerator is in, the kitchen is coming together, and everything is looking great…

Except for one tiny detail.

The refrigerator’s left door won’t fully open. 🤦‍♀️

And the plot twist? We found out AFTER installation that the old refrigerator had the exact same problem!

Here’s the thing about renovations: You can plan, coordinate, and prepare, but unexpected challenges will still pop up.

The secret isn’t expecting everything to go perfectly. It’s knowing how to pivot when it doesn’t.

Our solution? We’re making some adjustments to the cabinetry so this refrigerator can finally open the way it should.

Because a beautiful kitchen is great. A beautiful kitchen that actually functions? Even better. 💗

Same bed. New look. A little thrift store magic! ✨

Remember those treasures we thrifted a couple of weeks ago? Here’s where they ended up!

We kept the original bed and brought in a thrifted side table, artwork, and decorative accents to give this bedroom a whole new personality.

The result? A space that feels fresh, inviting, and completely transformed — without starting from scratch or spending a fortune on brand-new furniture.

That’s the magic of a Home Reset. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective and a few carefully chosen pieces to fall in love with your space again. 💗
