I walked into my kitchen and found THIS massive water mark on my table. 😳

If you have wood furniture and kids, you already know… accidents happen. Most of the time I can laugh them off. This one almost made me cry.

Before I started looking into refinishing the entire tabletop, I decided to try one of those silly little water mark remover cloths. And honestly? I wasn’t expecting much.

But it worked. 🙌

That giant white mark disappeared, and my table was saved.

If you’ve got water rings, heat marks, or mystery stains on your wood furniture, this little cloth might be worth keeping on hand.

Our kitchen desk area had become the official dumping ground for everything—charging cords, electronics, random papers, and all the little things that somehow never have a home.

Then I realized something.

If I stacked two thrifted barrister bookcase sections, they fit perfectly underneath the upper cabinets. Like they were made for that spot.

Now all the everyday clutter is hidden away, but still easy to grab when we need it. And my countertop finally looks like a countertop again. 🙌

Sometimes the best organizing solutions aren't found in the organization aisle—they're found at the thrift store.

Would you have thought to use barrister bookcases this way?

Imagine just casually browsing the thrift store. I had a milk glass bowl and a few glass bowls. Nothing TOO exciting. And then I walked past this! A barristers bookcase.
Gave it a once over. Saw the mechanism for the drawers and knew I had something here. I honestly couldn't get to the counter ask for the price fast enough.

If you thrift long enough, eventually you stumble across one of those finds that makes your heart skip a beat. This was that find for me.

Beautiful wood, original glass doors, and so much character. These bookcases were built to last, and somehow this one ended up waiting for me at the thrift store.

Tell me I'm not the only one who gets ridiculously excited over old furniture. What's the best thing you've ever found while thrifting?

This desk was completely trashed! I got it secondhand years ago and it sat in my garage and acted as a workbench for quite some time. It had seen better days. But can you believe I was able to cut it into two and make it into these gorgeous nightstands? It's amazing what some imagination, some power tools and gorgeous paint will do!
