FEEDING THE DREAM MERCHANTšŸ¦

Peace and blessings, Dream Merchants.

We hereby christen today Roger Bannister Monday.

On May 6, 1954, Roger Bannister became the first person to run a mile in under four minutes, finishing in 3:59.4.

Before Bannister did it, the four-minute mile was considered a barrier beyond human reach. But once he crossed it, the question changed from:

ā€œCan it be done?ā€

to:

ā€œHow can I do it?ā€

Just 46 days later, another runner broke the barrier.

So hereā€™s what weā€™re putting on the table today:

If someone else has already done what youā€™re trying to do, you donā€™t have to wonder whether itā€™s possible. Your job is to discover what it will require from you.

You may need a different strategy.
You may need more discipline.
You may need more time.

But the road exists.

And if no one has ever done what youā€™re attempting, perhaps youā€™re the Roger Bannisterā€”the one who proves itā€™s possible for everyone coming behind you.

Stay focused. Keep your eyes on where youā€™re going. Figure out what it requires.

At our Tanger Outlet pop-up, a few members of the Original Dream Merchants Society came through, and we had to take a moment to salute them.

The Original Dream Merchants Society is a group of people who saw the vision for The House of Langston early and chose to become part of it. Some supported us through major purchases. Some kept coming back again and again. Some offered their creativity, made connections, opened doors, encouraged us, prayed for us, or simply continued to show up.

Their support didnā€™t always look the same, and it wasnā€™t always financialā€”but every one of them helped us continue building the House while we were still figuring out what it could become.

Only 50 Original Dream Merchants Society coins were created, and there will never be another original group. No matter how far The House of Langston goes, these will always be the people who believed while the vision was still being built.

There are a few recognized Original Dream Merchants who have not received their coin because we didnā€™t have the correct contact or shipping information. That is on usā€”but please know that your place in this story has not been forgotten.

To the Original Dream Merchants Society, including those who pulled up on us at Tanger: we see you, we appreciate you, and we salute you. Shout out to Dew Durdy and Javet who pulled up too but we didn't take any flixšŸ“ø Also my second mom who even though I constantly say your money is no good here she acts like she can't hear mešŸ™„

You didnā€™t just support the House. You helped build it.

We stepped into the apparel industry with a dream and a whole lot to learn. As we learn, grow and scale, weā€™re gaining more knowledge with every step.
