eone else in to join our team. Hiring our first employee at J. Stark sparked a new kind of fire. One where we envisioned ourselves helping to create new manufacturing jobs for local folks with a kindred itch to create something with their hands. And not simply creating the jobs, but also the light-filled space where the jobs are done. Expanding deeper into our little brick building on Coming Street and now King Street, we've created our own factory where our goods are made and sold right on site.

Proof of life.

Y’all. This month has been HAAAARRRRDDD. I said yes a few too many times and found myself delivering 350 bags in a two week span.

So I’ve been a little hermit crab.

But I’m still out here. I still wear a going out shirt from time to time. Here’s documented proof from a fun night out with and . If I can find a pic of the bag we made with Faherty, I’ll be sure to show you but I sure didn’t grab one so 😅😬🫠

Anyway. If you’re still out there following along, thanks for sticking around. I’ll get back into the swing of silly, self-deprecating posts soon. We just have to move our shop another time and then it’s on. 🫠

Oh hey Instagram! We’re on vacation this week.

Like, really really on vacation. The shop is closed. The online orders aren’t shipping. The emails are getting read and answered *slowly* and all that.

So bear with me while I enjoy this time with the family. The last month or so has been…chaotic to say the least. And I fully appreciate your grace and your patience while I take a little time to rest!

It’s FULTON Flash Sale Friday, baby!!

And here’s how it works:

Hop on over to our stories for a closer look at the ten bags we have up for grabs today. The Fulton is smaller than a briefcase, more like iPad sized. Same dimensions as our Minnie, but with a flap and a couple extra pockets. I’ve got three one-offs/prototypes and SEVEN From The Pile versions. If you’re not familiar with our From The Pile program, we make the bag from pieces in our scrap pile, and since you don’t get to pick the colors, you get a 40% discount off the retail price. Only this time, you get to pick the colors so it’s kind of the best of both worlds.

If you like one (or a couple) the rules are below.

1. DM me on the bag number you like and send me your email. I’ll let you know if anyone has claimed it yet and if not, I’ll send you an invoice.

2. Pay the invoice within an hour of receiving it or risk it rolling over to the next person with dibs.

3. The bag is yours! Yay!! Send us pics of you out in the wild with it!

Tomorrow @ Noon I’m dropping ten one-off Fultons!

One will be an oddball prototype at a screamin’ low price. Two will be unique one-offs like the one in photo two. And the other seven will be From The Pile bébés, which means they’ll be FORTY PERCENT off the retail price of $150 (so, if you can do math, that’s $90 each).

They are all fun. They are decidedly not weird. Like, I went out of my way to make the scrap pieces work together like symbiotic besties. So come check ‘em out!

At 12 p.m. ET I’ll post everything in my stories (including videos of the FTP ones so you can see ALL the many parts) and it’ll work like a typical flash sale. Comment on the one(s) you like with your email to claim. Pay the invoice within the hour and it’s yours. If you let the hour slip by, you risk the bag rolling over to the next person in line.

This is a fun take on a retired silhouette and I’m hoping it catches a little fire because I have been LOVING it. I hope you love it too, and I hope you love the chance to grab yourself one at a sweet deal BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!

Heads up!

Starting tomorrow, I’m going to be doing weekly drops in the form of Flash Sales. Tomorrow, it’s going to be a mishmash of last-one-left stuff we’ve still got kickin’ around after the most recent move. After that, it’ll be fun, one-off custom stuff as my little heart sees fit.

This whole creating stuff with my hands thing…

It’s really getting me by these days. I can’t recommend it enough if you need a boon to the old spirits.

Somebody asked for a Fulton recently and it got me reminiscing. I LOVED that bag. Oh, did I love it. And if you have one, you’re probably out there still rocking it because it has a little underground following for sure. But it wasn’t a big seller and we let it quietly disappear into the ether. I don’t even know where the pattern is.

But you know what, the Minnie is basically the same size. So I took a little bit of this bag and a tiny dab of that bag and I scrambled it all together and now there’s this thing in the world. A little Fulton-Minnie hybrid. A Fulman? We’ll get there.
