One healthy hive can make a bigger impact than you might think. Every day, honey bees pollinate native flowers, backyard gardens, and local crops, supporting the ecosystems and communities around us. That's one of the reasons this month's featured female beekeeper, Kailee, started beekeeping.

"I feel like by taking care of my bees, I'm doing a tiny part to positively impact the ecosystem here in Charleston."

The little details make a big difference. Here’s one of Kailee's favorite features of her Sunny Suit: "I love all of the different pockets. The front pouch is great to hold your phone. You can even film from there if you want video."

And during Charleston's hot, humid summers, she says, "It looks and feels special. It's comfortable and keeps you as cool as possible on the scorching summer days."

We're honored to feature Kailee Habat, a Charleston-based beekeeper who discovered a passion for bees after taking her very first beekeeping course earlier this year. What started as curiosity quickly became a deep appreciation for the tiny pollinators making a big impact on our world. From spotting her queen, Beeyanca, for the first time to adding her very first honey super, Kailee is embracing every lesson and every milestone along the way.
