from : "Constructed in 1840 and operated more or less ever since as a retail establishment, Bob Ellis closed it's doors on December 31 after 66 years of selling some of the finest shoes on King Street. [I don't know about you, but some of my finest memories were made between 2003 and 2007 in a pair of platform suede sandals from Bob Ellis.] As another local, family-owned business disappears from King Street, please share your fond memories of shoes you loved and lost from this beloved Charleston establishment.
