Posting late but just wanted to share 😋
So about the middle of July, I got an email from .anthony.turner and Melanie Hunter (his amazing and so-talented “mommager”), asking if we might be interested in sponsoring his new YouTube channel.
Pastor Paul-Anthony is a gay man in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and he’s been causing all sorts of good trouble in his faith community since coming out. His new channel is the latest form of troublemaking he’s taken up (go subscribe at the link in his bio!)
Anyway. QB has never done a sponsorship like this before, and my lack of experience made me a bit hesitant at first. But Paul-Anthony quickly won me over, and I’m so glad we’ve been able to support him in whatever small ways we can.
Paul-Anthony and I don’t agree on all our beliefs, but we do agree on this basic fact—that q***r people deserve the right to thrive and to be happy, and to define for ourselves what “thriving” and “happiness” actually look like in our own lives.
In just a couple months and over only a few short phone calls or emails, I’ve come to really admire Paul-Anthony’s kindness, wisdom and nuance in dialogue. I’m so glad we’ve been able to sponsor his videos and support his activism and pastoral work. They’re fun, insightful, and feel like a warm cup of tea in this dreadful storm of a year.
So now, I’d love if you all could do me a favor and help support Paul-Anthony’s work Give .anthony.turner a follow on here, and then be sure to head to his YouTube channel and subscribe. You won’t regret it.

P.S. this all has reminded me of how much we q***r folk rely on our q***r community for mutual support. If you are a q***r creator, and especially if you are a BIPOC q***r creator seeking financial or material support for your work (or even just a pep talk!), I’d love to hear from you. I can’t promise that QB can help with everything, but QB can at least help with something. DM me!
