17 years. From designer to mentor. đĽšâ¤ď¸
Thereâs something really special about being reminded of who you were when you were just getting started.
In 2009, I was simply trying to figure out how to turn something I loved into an actual business. I didnât have a roadmap. I didnât know all the ârightâ things to do. I just kept learning, trying, messing some things up đ, figuring out what worked and getting better along the way.
And somehow, all of those years of figuring it out became experience.
The designer who once had a million questions became the person other designers started coming to for answers.
Thatâs the full-circle moment for me.
Of course Iâm proud of the jewelry I created, the customers who supported me, growing my community, selling at Nordstrom and all of the things I accomplished as a designer.
But being able to take what I learned through 17 years of actually DOING this and use it to make the journey a little easier for another jewelry designer?
That might be one of my favorite accomplishments yet. â¤ď¸
And I couldnât help but smile at the timing of Facebook showing me this memory today of all days.
Because today, 17 years after that post, Iâm closing the doors to the Jewelry Business Playbook.
From designer to mentor. What a journey. đĽš
If youâre a jewelry designer whoâs still in your âIâm trying to figure this business thing outâ era, I created this for you.
Comment âMASTERCLASSâ and Iâll send you the details to sign up before doors close at midnight. â¤ď¸
