Happy Halloween!! 🎃👻 As today is the last day of October, it is the last day of my social media experiment. Over 31 days I gained 31 followers in total 💖 Thank you to everyone who’s joined me on my journey and to those of you who have supported me from the start! I will certainly be keeping up with my posting because I have so much more to show and even more on the way!

Today I’m posting two little mini paintings I did a while back. I wanted to challenge myself and see what I could paint in a 30 minute time period, plus I wanted them to be easily converted into fridge magnets. Both of these are a mixture of acrylic paint and ink pen work, measuring only 2 inches by 2 inches.

Another Victorian dress for today! This one is a bit more full and I had lots of fun with the hat. I wish hats like this could make a comeback (other than for the Kentucky derby and similar events, that is 🐎).

A different direction of ink drawings! These are one of my favorites to draw - Victorian dresses. I love the amount of thought and time goes into each outfit back then. I used to draw these all the time in late high school and I would even color the designs in. The styles from the 1830’s to the 1870s are some of my most loved ones to design. When I’m stuck in a creative slump, I can always fall back on one of these to get the creative instincts flowing.

Today’s painting is extra special because it was made for my nephew who just turned one! It’s crazy how quickly time flies when it comes to little kids 🥲. This was my first time painting a boat and although all the straight lines and angles of the rigging made me apprehensive originally, I actually had a lot of fun painting it and love how it turned out! I wouldn’t mind making a series of these - I’ll post some to my Etsy shop soon but always feel free to reach out for commissions! ⛵️☀️

Here are two mini paintings (4” x 4”) called “Piper Peeping”! Sandpipers are some of my favorite birds. I love watching them scurry around and they’re so pretty! This duo are both acrylic on canvas and will be listed on my Etsy shop soon 💖

Here’s the nutcracker that started it all! This was the first one I made - it was my Christmas gift to my mother last year. She’s really into birding and I had so much fun joining that theme with her love of Christmas nutcrackers! I love seeing something I made alongside the other nutcrackers in her collection. This exact one isn’t for sale but I’m working on making another for my Etsy shop 🎉 Stay tuned for more nutcrackers with different themes as the holidays get closer! The second to final slide is what I start with when I make them🎄🌟

Today I’m shining extra light on my nutcracker that I shipped off to his new home yesterday! This was the second one I’ve made and it’s based on the game of Mahjong. I’m working on making another to add to my Etsy shop 🎉 along with some more nutcrackers with different themes. These are truly a lot of fun to make - the second to final slide is what I start with when I make them. For small businesses, Christmas is really on the way! 🎄🌟

There’s just something so peaceful about an open field 🌾💚

I painted this one a few days ago from a photo I took on the Wagon Loop trail at the Anne Springs Close Greenway. I get so excited when I see hay bales - I used to have so much fun jumping over rows and rows of them as a kid 💛

“Three Sisters”

7”x 5”x 0.5”

I painted this based on a photograph I took of some pansies blooming in late winter/early spring last year. The three flowers made me think of my mother and her two close sisters - hence the piece’s name. I love how the flowers are blooming with beauty and grace despite harsher conditions and cold temperatures. Their admirable resilience reminded me of my mother and aunts!

This piece is on display and for sale
