Hey all- it’s been awhile I know…

Anyways today I went to Vintage Charlotte for the first time ever not as a vendor! I made the decision to take a break this time around for my health and to just take a much needed break- but I still wanted to check it out and see my friends and favorite shops! It was so much fun to just shop and actually treat myself this time around!

First and foremost- I bought some more broaches from Sustainable Vintage 60’s 70’s 80’s-Today Remix Kate DiNatale Vintage (Kate Ogles) and Lavender Tatum for my blazer. The blazer is actually my own vintage piece I used to use for when I did horse shows a long time ago. I’ve been slowly collecting broaches for it, and I think it’s really coming together!

I also got a lovely gold tone sun belt from Alfred., a vintage caftan from Kate DiNatale Vintage (Kate Ogles) and a cute vintage dress from another shop (I forgot the name so sorry!) … all will become staples in my closet this summer!

And of course some cute home goods/decor- honestly one of my favorite pieces from the day is the little book about ferns from Rainy Road Collections !!!

Anyways I am sorry to all my followers that I just haven’t been that active on here lately … the shop is open though if you need anything and I’ll try to be better about being active on here…. Promise!

Things I saw today at the antique store, but did not buy.

On my way to an appointment today of course I stopped into an antique store and looked around.

I kinda had to rush through as I severely underestimated the size of the place and the time I had to browse, but I still got a good look and found a lot of pretty and fun things. Though I didn’t buy any of it… so it’s all left for you!

✨HAPPY NEW YEAR ✨

Here is a quick look back at my personal favorite items that sold each month of last year. While it’s always hard to pick my favorite items, I think these particular pieces all stood out each month and honestly some are pretty cool. And I think December is my favorite for the whole year!

For this weeks throwbacks Thursday I have some old family photos of Christmas past! My parents and grandma are just too 🥰

I still need to find one of those cardboard box chimneys to surprise mom one year… they are just so hard to find in good shape though!

🐍Vintage Outfit of the Day 🐍

Today my husband and I went to the Biltmore to see the Tutankhamun exhibition! A bit of a last minute adventure. But just in case I never get to Egypt to see Tuts actual tomb and all the artifacts at the new Grand Egyptian Museum, I just had to check this out!!

AND OF COURSE… you know I had a vintage outfit for the occasion👀

I am wearing a vintage 1950s blouse my friend found for me recently that features a colorful ancient Egyptian print. I paired it with a late 1940s black skirt and my 80s Ferragamo shoes. I completed the whole look with faux Egyptian scarab 🪲 jewelry I borrowed from my mom. And because it’s a bit chilly, for outside I wore one of my Lilli Ann coats.

I provided a close up of some of the blouses cool print as well as the green house on the estate, which we did actually get to see!

I still haven’t been to the actual Biltmore house (castle), but maybe one day… the holiday crowds are just really not my thing.

‼️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️

To my loyal customers, followers, and friends:

I am sure many of you have noticed over the past year- especially over the past few months- I have really slowed down both in the amount of items being listed as well as the frequency of my posts.

After much thought, I have made the difficult decision to take a TEMPORARY step back from A Stitch in Timeless Vintage to take care of myself and my health. This past year has been an absolute slog and blur of just so many doctors appointments, tests, and emotions. I still have not come to terms with my hearing loss- which is on top of other long term health issues- and I just really need to take some time for myself.

This is not the end of my business by any stretch!!! I hope to come back soon with a refreshed look on life and a better understanding of what’s going on with my hearing.

In the mean time my website (and inventory) will be transitioning fully over to Etsy and eBay!

Over the coming months I hope to still be active on my socials to some degree, showing my vintage outfits, personal mending projects and such- just no new listings for awhile. So please don’t unfollow- I’ll be “here”!!!!!

And thank you all again - for all the support over the years! I cannot wait to come back. I have so many good pieces already waiting in the wings to be cleaned and mended for you all!!!

I also want to give a very big thanks to my husband who makes these events possible for me to be a part of. And my brother for letting me borrow his car… again! I couldn’t do these without your help! 😘
