What do we think about vintage cookie jars? Do you really put cookies in there? Cookies are one of my favorites food groups and I’m kind of picky about them. Soft, chewy, chocolate, buttery … so what happens when they are left in the cookie jar? My experience is they become broken and dry … so I store them somewhere else. But let’s be honest, vintage cookie jars have so much charm and add whimsy to any kitchen. Here are a few currently for sale at Night Owl Antiques. Which is your favorite?

I always have ‘big’ ideas about repurposing items to create something charming, interesting, creative or just plain cool. I’ve had an idea for many years and the supplies since last summer. With the help of my son, Ross, the idea came to fruition yesterday!

While it’s not in place nor staged, this table is ready for use!! Thanks to John Fitzpatrick for the picket panels! The spindles/balasters were a Face Book Marketplace find. The round glass top was a garage sale freebie!

So when someone asks you why you have all that stuff… this is the answer!

It’s been a bit since the last post, it feels like time has evaporated. One of the focused displays at Night Owl Antiques’ booth is on birds. There are chickens and more chickens, sparrows, and several bird guides. In general, I love any kind of nature guide but bird books especially call my name.
