Meet Peter Quint and Miss Jessel, the haunts from Bly Manor. This is still my favorite example with my students of the importance of every role in theatre. I walk onstage a couple of times and sang a verse, but what good would a ghost story be without its ghosts?

I know I've been terrible at posting, but I'm still sewing away! One of my most recent projects was this beautiful gold party dress for a wonderful young lady who's an aspiring fashion designer herself.

Last summer I had a blast working on the fabulous dress and headpiece from the infamous number in . Both young performers were fun to watch. I love the before and after photos of the dress.

Believe it or not I can stay busy with brides all the way through October!

Keendie reached out to me last spring to get not only alterations done on her wedding gown, but custom made sleeves as well. Can you believe her dress originally had beaded spaghetti straps?! I used illusion tulle and appliques left over from hemming her gown to make her dream look. Keendie was a joy to work with and makes a beautiful bride!

Back in December I made the decision to leave job and focus only on Loopiloosi. The Champaign-Urbana community has been so supportive of me and it was the perfect place to start being completely self employed. However, it is now time to say good bye now that our family will be moving out of state at the end of the summer. I will still be designing, just no longer available for local alterations. Your love and support will be missed!

I've had people asking me, "What is a bustle?" A bustle is typically made up of a set of buttons and loops used to pull the train of your dress out of the way for when you're really ready to party and don't want anything holding you back! Trains are beautiful for pictures, but not so convenient on the dance floor. Here's a simple bustle I did on a prom dress.
