I want to help other women feel even better! I want them to feel empowered, and I want them to not just talk the talk but to also walk it. I want them to feel comfortable in what they wear, almost as if it were made specifically for them. With this in mind, my good friend Yvonne and I came together and created el boutique. The name came to me while I was enrolled as a student at Queens University
of Charlotte. I shared it with Yvonne, and she immediately loved it as much as I did! Spanish is my native language, and so I wanted to incorporate that in the name. The word el in Spanish means 'the' in English. When people think of el boutique, I want them to think of it as "THE it place." "THE Sugar Honey Ice Tea." We want everyone to feel included yet exclusive, so we brought in a variety of styles and sizes. We also offer the option of special ordering. I have worked in retail since I was 16 and have consistently been asked the question "is everything made in China?" For the most part the answer has been yes.
