I’m starting July with this. ✨Consistency over Intensity!

So many times we go full speed ahead when starting a new goal but shortly after, our intensity goes down or completely comes to a stop.

Let me give you an example. We make a goal to lose weight and have all the intensions to workout everyday while only eating a strict diet. By the end of the week most people have falling off completely.

There are a lot reasons why this happens but mainly it comes down to the fact that we don’t know how to stay consistent based on our beliefs about who we are.

So how can we stay consistent? Well first off you should prepare yourself for distractions. So when someone offers you a piece of cake, ask yourself what would the person I'm trying to become do in this moment?

Every time you overcome a distraction you will feel good about yourself which makes you want to do more good & stay consistent. This is what it means to Become who you want to be.

Every time we cave into distractions that keep us from achieving our end goal we reinforce negative beliefs about ourselves.

We subconsciously tell ourselves “I can’t do this” or “this goal is too hard for me to achieve. “

The moral of story:

Focus on overcoming distractions in the moment that don’t align with your goals. Not only will you gain more self dicipline but you will also achieve your goals if you don’t quit.

Remember it’s all about being consistent but also know how to give yourself grace when you mess up.

Self - Discipline is defined as as the ability to give yourself a command & following through with it.
