September 13 from 12 to 4 at the Charlton Sewing Center. Opening reception for We Speak in Stitches - an international exhibit, exhibit of fiber art , including a special exhibit of pieces from two women’s prisons.

We Speak in Stitches. These are three of the pieces that will be on exhibit September 13 through September 26 at the Charlton Sewing Center. These three pieces were made from clothing and bed clothes and whatever fibers they they could find. They originate in a woman’s prison and were carefully packaged and shipped to us for this exhibit. The opening reception is September 13 from 12 to 4.

This little machine sold quickly and it’s going to a new mom!  I hope it’s so something wonderful for her new baby!

This is a strong little Diaper Deal! I just finished sewing through six layers of denim with no problem! It is a Singer 185K from Great Britain, complete with attachments and instruction book. The light switch is not working, so I’m sending it along with another light fixture. The Food Pantry is completely out of evaporated milk so I’m looking for 60 cans of this milk. I usually get it at either Walmart or Aldi‘s – $1.00 a can.
