BROKEN WING PICTURE OF THE DAY

Everyone, we would like you to meet Ozzie and Harriot (formally Ed and Freida), our two green wing macaws.

Ozzie and Harriot came to Broken Wing via a collaboration with the California-based Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue in October of 2010. Both birds are brother and sister and were destined to be separated because one was more adoptable than the other.

When our Executive Director, Greg Kevakian, found out that they may be separated, he placed a call to Mickaboo asking permission to take both birds in so that they can stay together with the remainder of their lives. Greg's request was granted and both feathered companions are now enjoying life TOGETHER at Broken Wing.

Broken Wing currently provides care for 43 parrots ranging from parrotlets to green wing macaws; most deemed 'special needs' requiring lots of daily love, attention, and medical care.

The love and financial support from all of you have been overwhelming. If you are unable to support financially, Broken Wing fully understands that these are difficult times for many. The power of prayer is an AWESOME thing. In either event, your support of any kind (prayer, good thoughts, financial, etc.) will allow amazing things to happen!
