Babies were never meant to sit in diapers all day—not even newborns. Diaper rash is a symptom of a diaper-centered culture, not the biological norm for human babies.

If p**p is giving your baby a diaper rash, don’t just keep trying different creams. Give him an opportunity to p**p on the potty instead of his pants! Babies as young as birth can learn to use the potty (and it’s sooo much easier to do than you may think).

If you’re done with the diaper rash battles, comment SHOW ME and I’ll send you my quick-start guide to Elimination Communication, which teaches how to start the potty with a baby of any age!

This is the best-kept parenting secret ever: That you can avoid changing diapers by pottying newborns!

This is how parents used to handle baby waste before diapers could just be trashed: They would learn to anticipate when their babies needed to go and hold them over a bush or a pot to p*e & p**p.

Babies are born with instincts to not soil themselves, so this is actually very easy to do with a newborn. The squat position also helps baby relieve herself so that she gets less gas & fussiness!

The easiest way to begin is to offer the potty at diaper changes. You can still use diapers, this just becomes part of the changing routine! And you’ll be AMAZED at how many diapers your baby just… never uses 🤯

Want to give it a try? Comment SHOW ME and I’ll share the quick start guide I’ve sent to hundreds of other curious parents just like you 🙌

This works for every baby! 🤯

All babies are born with an instinct to not soil themselves and will readily go when the diaper is removed. If you keep forcing the diaper, baby eventually loses this instinct and learns to use the diaper.

But! You can avoid this “diaper training” by pottying your baby at 3 easy times:

🚽 During diaper changes
🚽 After naps
🚽 After meals

The more you offer, the more you learn! And you can still use diapers—this isn’t an all or nothing method. We call it “Elimination Communication” because it’s about practice and learning, not perfection ❤️

I pottied all 3 of my babies as newborns and they were fully “p**p trained” by 3 months and fully diaper-free by 18 months.

Want to see how I did it? Comment SHOW ME and I’ll DM you the starter guide that shows you exactly what to do (for a baby of any age!) ❤️

**comment LINK for the link to this toddler belt**

If your toddler’s pants won’t stay up, this $10 belt can fix it for you instantly. It’s easy to install and leaves your toddler’s pants stretchy enough so that she can still pull them up and down to go potty 👍

Best $10 purchase ever! My skinny (almost) 8-year old still uses his for his school uniform pants 😅

So why can you use wool diaper covers every day without washing for up to a month? When washed with lanolin (natural wax made by sheep), wool becomes water-repellant! This makes it a natural waterproof cover, which is the outer layer of your diaper. You layer the wool cover over an inner absorbent diaper, like a cotton pad. The pad soaks up p*e and catches p**p; the cover keeps the liquids contained.

Wool has antimicrobial and odor-resistant properties, plus the lanolin chemically converts urine to salt & water. This means that as long as baby p**ps are contained by the pad, the wool covers can be hung to dry without washing and be fresh and ready for use again the next day!

If p**p gets on the cover you’ll want to spot clean right away. Otherwise, you can continue to use your cover for a full month before needing to wash it with lanolin again. You can help keep p**p out of your wool by doing Elimination Communication (baby potty training)!

The cover shown in this video is the Flappy-Nappies all-in-two wool diaper cover with 100% organic snap-in pads. These are ideal for Elimination Communication because they pop open like a flap to go potty! And we’re restocking them this fall—Comment WOOLLIES if you want to stay in the loop and save up to 25% off 🎉

When disposable diapers first came along, no one wanted to use paper and plastic instead of soft cotton. So what did the disposable diaper companies do?

They launched a massive marketing campaign to convince parents that early potty training was bad and that they should wait.

Up until that point, most parents started potty-training by 9 months and had their babies out of diapers by 18 months. But the new advice to delay potty training made cloth diaper laundry harder.

So what happened? Disposable diaper sales skyrocketed along with the average potty-training age. Now most kids don’t even start potty training until age 3 and teachers are increasingly complaining of kindergartners arriving in the classroom still wearing pull-ups.

There is NO benefit to delaying potty-training, and absolutely no reason a developmentally typical 5 year old should not be fully toilet independent. And the good news is that it’s actually very easy to start the potty with babies under 18 months!

If you’d like to give it a try with your own baby, comment SHOW ME and I’ll DM you my free quick start guide, which gives age-based instructions on how to start the potty today!

People often comment “she has NO IDEA what’s going on” when they see my baby using a potty.

Let’s assume for a second that they’re right (they’re not). Should we also not read to our babies because they don’t understand what books are yet? Or not let them play with a spoon because they don’t understand how to self-feed yet?

Nope, because we know that the best way to learn is by doing. When we introduce the potty in infancy, babies pick up extremely quickly on what is going on and grow up knowing exactly what the potty is for. This is true even if you only offer the potty sometimes and use diapers the rest of the time!

Toilet learning begins at birth. You can either teach them that their pants are the toilet or that the toilet is a toilet. Learning happens either way 🤷‍♀️

If you’re ready to start teaching your baby that the TOILET is the toilet, comment SHOW ME and I’ll DM you my free guide that shows you exactly how to begin (at any age—no experience needed) ❤️
