*Welcome to Dragonfly Crochet*

Hello! My name is Sarah and this is my hobby! I have been crocheting for fun for over 20 years and do it now for fun as well as to maintain hand dexterity and strength after a spinal injury in 1999. I strive to create unique accessories that reflect the customer's personality and style- I love a challenge but will be honest if an idea is beyond my skill or more than

I am able to tackle in order to honor a waiting list (i.e. a project that would take more than a month to complete by itself). I maintain a running waiting list, contacting customers in the order they express interest, and create orders one-at-a-time so that the customer has a rough idea of the time frame in which to expect their finished pieces. Some times of the year I expect to have little to no waiting list and it is then that I may create pieces ready-made for sale, but until then, it is as the customer wishes and up to their imagination! Measuring:

If I am not measuring you in person... where and how do you measure for your items???

*Headwarmers: measure over the ears where the brim of a stocking cap would go and roughly let me know how wide you would like your piece at it's widest.

*Boot toppers: the area just below the knee and just about the calf- inches it takes a tape measure to go around.... unless you are wanting long toppers for short boots and then it is around the widest part of the calf.

*Coffee Cozies: the ounce size you drink the most in a disposable cup size (12, 16, 20 oz.) or send me a picture of your favorite mug and we will talk about where to measure.

*Fingerless Gloves: inches across your palm and inches from the base of your fingers to your wrist... and then the total inches you would like your cuffs to reach up your arms. (please see the first picture in the fingerless glove photo album)


Pricing:

Each order is priced according to the materials used and handwork hours involved but prices are comparatively lower than like items on Etsy and Pinterest. A 25% non-refundable down payment is taken at the time of order and the balance is due upon completion of the product(s). Prices increase with finer wools/fibers or antique/vintage button accessories. Message me if you would like to look into having me create accessories for you! Let's create something together!

Each year I try to intro a new product and this year is no different... except this new product is so versatile that it will be custom order only. I've never offered a sweater before, but found the most wonderful, chunky cardigan pattern that can be used with any chunky yarn. I'm currently making the prototype (yes, for me ;) ), so stay tuned!!!

I'm still here! Yes, it's the off season so I'm not currently doing custom orders or shipping but I AM restocking for fall and winter shows. This week it's coffee cozies after nearly selling out last winter. I love this process and with each one being unique, my little crafting heart is happy! It's been a bit since I've touched base here so I thought I'd let you know I'm still here! The natural rhythm of the crochet year for me means that I'm taking inventory, organizing and gearing up for restocking... but first, WIPs (works in progress)! I fell in love with the colors in the variegated fibers (thrifted!) that I've included in this men's beanie. I had begun this beanie last spring but it sat undone in favor of preparing craft show merchandise. My sweet husband is the recipient of this one! I've not been able to find more of the variegated yarn, but I'll keep my eyes peeled ;)
