I feel that name fits much better! I love nature and the interconnectiveness of living things, something I hope to bring to all my students (I am a biology Professor). I believe in the motto "Reduce Re-use Recycle.... & Re-purpose!". That is why we chose to use old pallet wood planks on the walls of our shop and built shelves out of pipes and reclaimed wood from a local greenhouse operation. We al
so have lots of science in our shop - including rocks, minerals, fossils, skulls and other odditiies. I love old weird things and began dabbling in the art of "pickin". Now I am collecting for me and to share with others. I am finding that retail stores are boring and really sort of avoid them now - I caught "Vintage-itis" and I hear there is no cure! My love also has this disease, so we decided that we should open a special place to share with each other and with others. Our shop has lots of love and positive energy - you may want to just come and sit, which would be great! Old things tell us a story, a glimpse into the past. That is why you will find old photographs, old jewelry, and other cool odd items to preserve their history. We hope you can stop by sometime and enjoy the shop!
