Northcott designed Sacred Sisters not only as a celebration of feminine spirit, but also as a tribute to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW). The artwork reflects the deep love, loss, and hope carried by Indigenous communities, using symbolic imagery to acknowledge the women who are missing, the families who continue to search, and the sisters who stand together in remembrance and advocacy.
