Discover the rich history of the Starsiak Building in Chicago, a testament to the city’s architectural legacy and cultural heritage. Starsiak Clothing opened in 1916 and was a popular store at the height of the “Polish Broadway” era, when a large part of the neighborhood was predominantly Polish. Starsiak clothing closed in 1981, however the building stands today regarded as an emblem of the rich Art Deco history in Chicago. Afloat celebrates Starsiak Clothing for its history of serving Chicago residents and looks to carry on serving quality clothing in Chicago.
