Sustainability is #1 at MONTANAMILAN. Here are some fun ways we remain eco-friendly:
💕We keep all of our fabric samples and hang them on the wall for decoration and conversation pieces inside our pop-up shipping department. Most samples get wasted in the fashion industry.
💕We’re one of the only companies that asks for our denim scraps back from our cutter. The scraps are used in a variety of ways, oftentimes as buttons, and also offered up to moms and daughters to use for crafts!
💕Our pop-up shop’s library has the books our founder, Carmen’s, kids read when they were little and donated books. These books are timeless and offer the opportunity to learn or imagine.

Let’s talk denim.

Did you know once cotton is harvested and ready to be made into denim, it more than likely will be dyed indigo blue with toxic, synthetic dyes?

It’s then rinsed into even more chemicals, making it bad for your child’s sensitive skin and the environment.

MONTANAMILAN’s denim is rinsed not one, not two, but THREE times in warm, clean water at 90 degrees, then dried and pressed.

We do NOT use ANY chemical rinses in our denim!

When I was 7 years old, I had a dream and a vision that I held onto all the way until I started to send Montana off to college. Surely you can relate to life as a busy mother with multiple children and a household to take care of!

Maybe it was the 7-year-old I still held onto inside of me, or the spark that inspired the names Montana and Milan, but after 27 years of marriage and raising three children, MONTANAMILAN was born.

Pictured are Montana, Milan and I when they were 3 months old, and the three of us again all grown up 💕.
