A person's true character is revealed not by their ability to perform certain tasks or display knowledge, but rather by how they behave and conduct themselves when faced with uncertainty or a lack of knowledge. In other words, it is not what we know or can do that defines our character, but rather how we respond to challenges and situations in which we are not sure of the right course of action. This idea is aligned with certain philosophical beliefs about the nature of the character and the role of virtues, such as integrity and resilience, in shaping who we are as individuals.

In my perspective, Seneca a stoic philosopher was someone who in his philosophies wrote about not being easily swayed by external circumstances. To not be overly elated by prosperity or success, nor be overly discouraged by adversity or failure. Instead, maintain a balanced and centered perspective and weather life's ups and downs with equanimity. Not being easily swayed by external events but being able to navigate life's challenges with wisdom and grace. While remaining grounded and focused, regardless of the circumstances being faced. This type of resilience and inner strength is a hallmark of wisdom, and I believe that it is a key characteristic of a wise man.

The "Way of the Superior Man" involves transcending one's ego, limitations, and conditioning in order to live a life of integrity, responsibility, and love. This means moving beyond the ego, or the sense of self that is driven by selfish desires and the need for validation and recognition. It involves recognizing and overcoming one's limitations, whether they be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, in order to grow and develop as a person. It also means moving beyond the conditioning and programming that has been imposed upon us by society, culture, and our upbringing, and instead choosing to live authentically and in alignment with our true values and purpose. By doing so, we can live a life of integrity, taking responsibility for our actions and choices, and cultivating love for ourselves and others. This requires a commitment to self-awareness, personal growth, and self-transcendence.
