Big news y’all! JOYTOAST will officially be at Renegade in Chicago on September 9th and 10th! I’ve loved attending this fair for years - buying prints and stickers and home goods- dreaming of the day when there would be a vendor who carried clothes, rings, jewelry or accessories in my size. Welp in the immortal words of Lizzo “You gonna see that person but bitch it’s gonna have to be you” really excited and honored to be included at to give folks in bigger bodies the ability shop for clothes, accessories, and jewelry right along side their straight size friends at this fair! Story time. On Sunday I took my bestie who was visiting from LA to the store because I mean - where else do you go in Chicago for a dose of pure dopamine? carries our co-ord sets in store - and when I walked in a plus customer happened to be buying them at that moment. It was so special, they had come in with a friend - not really expecting to be able to shop for clothing - and found our sets. They got to shop and try things on with their friend and buy clothing IRL. That rare experience is all I’ve ever wanted to give folks with bodies like mine with . They asked for a hug and we had a real emotional moment - and of course followed each other on the gram. I’m really grateful everyday that this community brought into existence so we can have moments like these.

Wow. WOW. Now that I’ve gotten some sleep, I can fully reflect on how beautiful of a day yesterday was. It was a dream of mine to be able to see our items at my fav store in chicago , I’m so grateful to the team for inviting us to celebrate our launch at the shop! Thank you for everyone who came, shopped, ate cake, brought flowers, brought cards, and gave hugs! It was so emotional hearing from folks how much JOYTOAST means to them, how much things like our towels + bag straps have majorly changed their lives. And how excited they are to see what we do next! The most amazing part of JOYTOAST is the incredible community we’re creating here where so many people feel seen. Thank you all for seeing and supporting JOYTOAST, and helping it exist. Little fat Amy would be so proud of the brand she made where all her friends can shop together.
