Hello, as you may know I have been closed a lot during January due to my husband’s illness. We got some bad news this week. He has a large mass on one of his kidneys and will need to have surgery next week. I will most likely be closed to be with him before and after his surgery. I may pop into the shop by chance to check on things or possibly open a couple hours but at this point I really can’t commit to any schedule. I am sorry for any inconvenience. Please send us some good vibes. Debbie

Please help out your local CBD shop (not to be confused with dispensary). The Chicago City Council has narrowly passed a h**p ban ordinance which would put many of these shops out of business. Many folks like myself and my husband use CBD for pain management and relief from stress and anxiety. This ban is overreaching and we need sensible legislation. Please leave a message with the mayor to veto this.

January was a rough one between my partner’s illness, a difficult to treat infection in my cat’s leg, the cold weather and all the trauma our country is going through. I will be open today just to get back to some sense of normalcy.

When it rains, it pours. I will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week 1/22 -1/24. My cat Rollo here has had a recurring infection on his leg so today they have to do a small surgery to get a tissue sample to see what’s going on. Meanwhile my husband Jim is getting released from the hospital on the coldest day in years. Saturday will still be very cold and it’s best to stay home and make sure all my patients are doing fine. Ugh. January. 🙁

Hello, sorry to say that my husband Jim is still in the hospital getting care. My hours for 1/15 to 1/18 are still up in the air. It all depends on when he will be released. I will be stopping in for a few hours here and there to pick up mail and check on things so you might find me there by chance, otherwise assume that I’m closed for the time being. Jim is getting better. He is still on antibiotics and is getting physical therapy to rebuild his strength.
