THE IDEA BEHIND DOV CLOTHING
The idea for Dov Clothing came to me one afternoon soon after the passing of my grandfather Gene Garlin. My grandfather passed as a result of a long bout with cancer, his incredible attitude and outlook on life always seemed to inspire me, especially in the difficult times. “Bradley, Life is Good, no one said it was going to be easy, but I can tell you I lived a good
life.” He would not give into his cancer and it was through his struggle which became my inspiration. It was in this time, during his bout with cancer that my grandfather began his search for an easy to where comfortable clothing brand, that still had a sense of style. We found nothing, a few pairs of workout pants here and there, a couple of sweatshirts, but nothing with a sense of style, and nothing that was truly comfortable. It was this search for a brand of comfortable, stylish apparel, that alluded me to a gap in the industry, for a truly comfortable, yet stylish clothing brand. I feel strongly that it is the ideals we carry forth, and the positive actions made in our lives that will define all of our futures. My grandfather taught me how important it is to stay positive, not only for ourselves but also for those around us. The dream of Dov is to build a strong foundation of charitable giving and positive actions so together, over time we can catalyst great changes, one item at a time. Bradley "Dov Melech" Kofman
