HAPPY EARTH DAY 🌍 (this was my Easter photo so happy belated Easter too!) dang do I love the beautiful planet that we're all blessed to live one, especially now that we're staying inside so much more.
Aside from all the anti-pollution benefits this quarantine has had (YES!) it certainly has made me appreciate & savor the beauty of outside even more. I hope it's done the same for you!
Everytime I go outside I feel like I'm seeing it for the first time. Like "oooooh, look at that pretty flower, and that one! And omg the grass is so green!" And I'm having a real renewal of appreciation for the delicious food, especially fruits 🤤, that it gives us. It's falling in love with something I forgot I loved all along. 💜💕
If you want to hear me talk more about how enamored I am with the planet, I'll be live with tonight at 6:00pm talking about earth day, fashion revolution week (heck yes for Earth friendly fashion), and showing you some fresh vintage for sale! HEY Y'ALL! I've been really hesitant to post about this on my feed but I figure now is as good of time as any to share... ✨
Making masks for personal use (in addition to healthcare use) is something that I've started doing due to the abundance of requests I've received.
I'm offering them in a pay-what-you-can model with a suggested $10 donation. This amount helps to cover the masks, shipping, my time, and subsidize masks for others who can't afford them. Please PLEASE don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need masks and can't afford them! I'd love to work out a reduced price or even gift them to you. I want to help as many people as possible!
It really helps to support my small business and my mental health as well! 🤪 When I'm sewing these masks I feel like I'm making a difference in the craziness of this world.
I've done my best to engineer a mask that is as helpful as possible to the wearer:
+ created with a poly & cotton blend ( proven in some studies to filter better than 100% cotton)
+ elastic ear loops for easy-on easy off hygienic removal
+ a layer of non-woven polypropylene sandwiched between the two cotton layers for some water resistant capabilities.
+ a twist tie at the nose to help it contour better to your face and help with glasses fogging (!!!)
+ pleated sides makes it easier to talk
+ machine washable in hot water, hang to dry
I'll be sharing an IGTV tutorial soon on exactly how I make these so you can make your own too! 💕

the KEY TO MY 💖 is always vintage!
I was struck by this gorgeous sunlight and inspired to snap a picture of this 1940s new-to-the-shop piece! 🔑
Very very excited about bringing this gorgeous 1940 New York World's Fair key necklace to this weekend. It's such a beautiful artifact and would make the perfect Christmas gift for a fellow vintage lover/Zoey 101 watcher. It is a real usuable key and good news- its uncut. So if you REALLY want to you could have it cut to fit your door!

oh the weather outside is frightful...✨❄️🌨️
can't believe we had snow yesterday in NOVEMBER! but maybe I just need to get used to it as a chicagoan. 🥶 it was more cold outside than I even realized and I almost froze my b***y off taking these photos! 😂
guess what snow means.... time to start hunting for your perfect winter coat. instead of buying a brand new one this year, try vintage. I've found that my vintage coats tend to look nicer & last longer than modern day coats and keep me oh so warm! they were NOT playing around in the past.
coats are one of my favorite things to collect and I've been hoarding several adorable ones. 😍✨ you know what I'm going to say next.... I'll be posting some coats for sale later this week. be on the lookout!
