Get ready for more fabric than you can handle! I’m in the 400 year old fabric market that happens every Saturday in Utrecht , Netherlands. It was wonderful to see so many people out fabric shopping. Plus, there were soooooo many fabric booths. I expected there to be 10 but there were probably 100!
I so wish something like this was in Chicago. They had everything you could want from interesting denim, plain linen, fun knits, upholstery, dress fabrics, wools for jackets & more. The prices were very reasonable as well. I tried to find something unique that I couldn’t get anywhere else. I ended up with a colorful knit that looks like a woven Boucle. I’m thinking of making a fall time dress with it. I also picked up these two cat upholstery squares. I am not sure what to do with them yet but I think they could be fun on a jacket, a dress or a bag. We will see. It was so thrilling to just be in the market :) If it was in Chicago, I would be there all the time!
