I’m creating a 1/2 scale model for my next dress design, The Rose Dress, for the ball next weekend. 🌹
I’m studying it in half scale so I can design the folds in the skirt before committing to the final fabric in full scale.

It may not look exactly like this once draped in the actual fabric (liquid satin) but this is the general concept.

I experimented with a few draping techniques and ended up doing a different style in the front than the back. I’m thinking of adding a train and bustle too, because… why not?

Przygotowuję model w skali 1:2 mojej nowej sukni „The Rose Dress” na bal w przyszły weekend. 🌹

Testuję ułożenie fałd na mniejszym modelu, żeby dopracować konstrukcję, zanim przejdę do cięcia czerwonego materiału. Płynna satyna, z której powstanie suknia, może ułożyć się inaczej, więc to tylko ogólny zarys projektu.

Po kilku próbach z drapowaniem zdecydowałam się na inny styl przodu i tyłu. Kuszą mnie też tren i ozdobne podpięcie...
