Hello Mod + Ethico community! You may be following my journey toward launching sustainable line and I’m thrilled to share after years of development, we have just launched our pre-sale!

When women dare to dream, speak up, live their truth, magic happens.

is a dream I have had ever since having my first daughter in 2017, for more sustainable clothing that met my evolving needs as a young working mama. That dream was in development for nearly four years, and almost didn’t happen (several times).

I started and stopped that dream many times. Fear and doubt buried that dream. But then raw need and creativity unearthed it.

Sheer will and a little courage breathed life into it, with a lot of help and support from my co-founder

Today, we couldn’t be more excited to share our collection and build community around supporting women during the transition into motherhood.

The time to speak up is now. There is no planet and atrocities and that entire look for under $50 actually costs quite a lot, but to someone on the other side of the equation who was cheated out of fair wages and safe working conditions to make our clothes. The time to shop more consciously, more deliberately, to ask questions like: where did this come from? Is this item fair trade? Can I find this secondhand? Can I mend this item to make it wearable again? It’s not easy to make fair trade and sustainability a priority, it takes effort. You don’t have to change every habit, but little changes do matter and get easier.

This quote from the iconic Carrie Fisher resonates with me so deeply. It’s helped me become the woman I am, infinitely more confident than the girl I was. I grew up where quiet perfection was rewarded - being “conscientious” but not boldness and risk taking. .
I grew up afraid of taking risks, of the “action.” I was great at following rules (I still am!). But, business school and working at a tech company where being bold is a core value, I have learned to pursue what scares me. In fact, if it scares me, then I will just do it. .
Failure doesn’t matter. A combination of failure and wins builds confidence. It’s not all about the win, but the falling down and the boldness to get back up - that’s where character and confidence building happen. It’s when it’s hard, not when it’s easy, that you find out who you are. These are the values I will pass down to my daughter. .
