As a kickoff to Pride Month we will be hosting an event at Exit Strategy Brewing Co and are looking for your help to raise funds for a local non-profit organization that supports people of the Q***r community, Brave Space Alliance.
Brave Space Alliance is the first Black-led, trans-led LGBTQ+ Center located on the South Side of Chicago, dedicated to creating and providing affirming, culturally competent, for-us by-us resources, programming, and services for LGBTQ+ individuals on the South and West sides of the city.
Forest Park/OP/RF have always been proudly inclusive towns and we'd like to highlight that by coming together as a business community to do a little good.
How can you get involved?
During our Pride Month Kick-Off Event on Saturday June 3rd we will be hosting a raffle/silent auction. All ticket sales for the raffle/auction will go directly to Brave Space! We are asking for a gift card of at least $20 to be donated, and/or an item of your choosing that represents your business. Gift cards will be bundled for 2 smaller raffle prizes and all larger (non-gift card) items will be gathered together in a large gift basket as the big prize of the day. Not only is this an opportunity for you to support this wonderful local organization, but also get your business advertised during our event and be visited by the winners.
When are the gift cards and items needed by?
We'd like to promote that the raffle/auction is happening during the week leading up to June 3rd. If it is possible to drop off your donation to our taproom the week or weekend before that would be ideal. Our address is 7700 Madison St in Forest Park. If you prefer that we stop on by to pick up the donation, we can absolutely coordinate to do so.
