Oakley Square Quilting Club Oakley Squre Quilting Club was created in 2011 by three wonderful ladies, Audrey, Donna, and Janeen, to share and grow their talents and skills in quilting

Oakley Squre Quilting Club was created in 2011 by three wonderful ladies, Audrey (traditional quilter), Donna (seamstress), and Janeen (recycled jean quilter). Over the last 5 years, they have been donating handmade blankets to support teen moms at Simpson Academy High School in West Side community of Chicago. Making beautiful quilts requires time and dedication for finding material, cutting them

and sewing them together. The three ladies are hoping to raise $500 to purchase more fabric and an embroidery machine so they can continue to donate quilts for the teen moms and also offer their suits and prom dresses at lower costs that local low-income familes can afford (average costs of prom dresses sold at the stores are around $500, some almost $1,000!!). Together, we can find a wonderful way to give back to our community - you can make an online donation on GoFundMe: http://www.gofundme.com/quiltsforteenmoms, and we will keep you updated here with pictures and videos!
