Steeltooth Comb

Steeltooth Comb Steeltooth sells combs made of steel to work with modern hair products. At a certain point I was late to work again and hit a breaking point.

For many years I’ve had issues getting my hairstyle just the way I wanted it when I was getting ready for school as a kid or heading to work as an adult. My hair was always thick and the products I used would do the job, but it would always take forever. I thought there had to be something else out there that was better than what I was using. I kind of thought about it for a bit and imagined the t

eeth of plastic combs bending as they tugged through my hair. That’s when I started to look for wooden and steel combs thinking that the harder teeth would pass through my hair easier. Sure enough these things existed and I bought one at an exorbitant price tag that did not make much sense. Regardless, it worked and I was happy with the purchase. But I thought there had to be many like me. And many that would not want to dish out tons of money for a simple tool like a comb. We all know you can get one for $3 at the drug store (even though it sucks). I started Steeltooth because I identified a gap in the market. You have the super expensive combs you can buy for a fancy gift, or you can get something horribly cheap. The expensive combs make you feel guilty about getting pomade or gunk on them, although they are easy to clean, it still feels more like something that shouldn’t be abused. The cheap plastic combs are susceptible to breaking and generate static in your hair which causes split ends and fly aways which make them a pain to use. So Steeltooth is the guy in the middle, a comb that is high quality and will last for life, but humble enough to be a tool you’ll be happy to use every day.

I just got done watching The Plastic Detox on and wow was it an eye opener. I had no idea the extent that plastics are poisoning us.

Clay Pomade is typically quite dry and can be hard to apply of you have dry hair.

If you have naturally oily hair, you'll find clay pomade a dream to work with. It will provide balance to your hair and goes in relatively smooth.

Coarse hair, you have two options.

1. Wet your hair, apply, style and then blow dry or air dry.

2. Pre-Style with an oil like coconut oil to lubricate your hair. Then go in with the clay and style.

Make sure to properly emulsify in your palms, but if you overdo it application can be tough.

Use a spray bottle and spray your hands, it will make a clay slurry and will get down to your roots

When it comes to a matte paste, they are typically more waxy and easier to apply than a traditional clay. It is more of a hybrid product that most of the time will be less matte than a clay as well.

To truly maximize the effect though you need to blow dry at the end and tassel with your fingers to give a more natural look.

Btw I don't get the outrage about the finale of Stranger things. I thought it was perfect really. Now that it's over, it's weird Netflix doesn't hit the same when I open the app.

Have you watched the Stranger Things finale yet? That might go down as the best TV show ever made. It's up there with Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.

It's Halloween season so no better time to pickup a Monster Mash Pomade. I like last year's oil based collab with a fun Midwestern based product that hits just right during the late fall. Also, we have BF6 REDSEC launching today!

Are we going to be invaded by aliens? If we are, at least make sure you hair looks good while it happens. This 3i Atlas thing has me so curious. Monster Mash / collab matte paste, stuff is amazing. Hair feels soft and moisturized the next day.
