Twice a week, I take my kid to ballet class. We live about 20 minutes from the studio, and her class at this age is one hour long. It seems pointless to drive home, be home for not very long, and drive back, so I usually just hang out in the lobby during her class. This step of my project absolutely can go with me, and other people at the studio love seeing what I'm working on. I need to zap all the threads off, and then I can start assembling the bows - none of which requires anything more than space to sit, a bag to collect my thread scrap, and my handheld thread zapper!

Trying something new today!

As a small business, it's very important to me to get my branding on my items. I know I'm not Coach or anything where my branding is part of the design and something people want to show off, but I do want my branding to be placed in a discreet yet visible place, so people who buy from me can remember "oh that's where I got that nice accessory, I wonder if they have anything fun and new" later - one can dream xD

Both projects finished! Both turned out easier than I expected - even the bodice with boning! The boning was honestly easier than sewing in a zipper and I do those all the time for my bags.

Now, it's either on to volunteering for one more sewing project, or moving on to teachers gifts!
