Hi everyone! We’re Amy and Kim, founders of Thread Original, a woman-owned brand based in St. Charles. We make makeup bags with built-in rechargeable lights—because digging for your lipstick in the dark wasn’t part of the plan.
Amy’s background is in photography and art direction in LA and New York, and Kim spent 17 years helping build Urban Decay. Together, we turned years of getting ready in questionable lighting into something useful.
Our bags are already traveling with prominent DJs and members of the USA Olympic women’s hockey team. We’d love to introduce them to more people here at home!
