An el niño year is upon us and rain is already on the forecast for Thursday! These wonderfully vibrant and fun umbrellas just hit the shop floor this morning. Keep your purse dry with a convenient and coordinating storage bottle. Compact in size but big in style, these umbrellas make a great addition to the closet of the girl who has everything. They also make a great gift!

Swing by the shop this week to see all that is in store. Shop hours are 10am-4pm Tuesday through Saturday (though we will be closed this coming Saturday, September 5th so our tiny team can enjoy a long holiday weekend for Labor Day).

September already?! September means cooler days and approaching approaching fall. We start to get the bulk of our fall goods this month and more dummer goods hit our sales rack.

Busy buying week! I had the pleasure of meeting up with today to look at Spring/Summer 2027 Escape, Effie's Heart, and Caite. I think you going to love all the colors and styles that will be coming!

We have some bad news/good news for our hair barrette loving customers.

Bad news: It has become increasingly hard to source the metal barrettes we have carried for years and years, and the company has not restocked them in close to a year. So we have a handful of those left if anyone wants to snag one (or a few) before they are gone for good. What we currently have left is in the first photo. But, they are still making resin acetate hair barrettes, which are pictured in the third photo!

Good news: We found a replacement metal barrette company made in California! Meet Oberon Design (pictured in second photo): beautiful designs made from high-shine Britannia metal. Still hypoallergenic and still the same price! The only caveat is they only come in a silver color (sorry brass barrette fans).

While change can be hard, especially with well loved and go-to items, we are super excited to share Oberon Design's offerings with you in the shop! 💚

Had a great time meeting up with today to look at for Spring 2027!

This time of year is always crazy-making as a buyer for a small boutique like cottonparty; it is boiling hot out, we are getting our fall/winter goods in store, and buying for spring of the following year all at the same time. This brief moment of insanity is a small price to pay for committing to slow fashion where goods are made to order specifically for our shop. Plus, lovely folks like Jen make the process way easier.

I can't wait to share new spring merchandise with you next year! But be sure to swing by soon to see all the wonderful fall goods that are coming in now.

New Eleven Stitch hit the shop this week! Gorgeous fabrics in a sumptuous deep forest hue that mix and match together like a dream. These pieces would be great for an autumn wedding or special occasion, or pair the tops with jeans for a more casual vibe.
